Your estimates are your work. Here is, in plain words, how BESTimate protects them.
Your account
- Passwords are never stored in readable form. They are scrambled (hashed) by our sign-in provider — not even we can see them.
- Two-step sign-in (optional): turn it on in Account and the app also asks for a 6-digit code from an authenticator app on your phone.
- Two computers per account, so a shared password cannot spread your work around.
Your estimates, projects and photos
- Only you can open your estimates. Every request to the database is checked against your account; another user cannot read or change your work, even by tampering with the app.
- Site photos are kept in private storage and are only shown to you through short-lived links.
- Sharing is your choice. A review or client link opens only the estimate you share, and only for the people you send it to.
- A copy also stays on your device, and you can download any estimate as Excel or PDF at any time.
Payments
- Payments are handled by Razorpay. Your card, UPI and bank details go straight to Razorpay and never reach us.
- Every payment is checked with Razorpay's signature on our server before a plan is switched on.
The connection and the apps
- Everything between your device and our servers is encrypted (HTTPS).
- The desktop app runs pages in a sandbox, so a web page cannot reach your computer's files.
- We do not use advertising trackers and we never sell your data. See the Privacy Policy for details.
