Questions
How many 2×2 tiles are needed for 100 sq ft?
A 600×600 mm (2×2 ft) tile covers about 3.87 sq ft, so 100 sq ft needs about 26 tiles, or 28 with 7% wastage.
How much wastage should I add?
Usually 5–10% for straight laying in a normal room; more for diagonal patterns, many corners or large-format tiles.
How is skirting calculated?
Skirting length = room perimeter minus door openings; its area = length × skirting height. Skirting is often cut from the same tiles.
